A friendship ignited on a wine buying trip through France.  After a week together dining on French cuisine and tasting all the Champagne, Heather & Allison became forever friends.  That trip was in 2018, when Allison & Heather were wine buyers for busy downtown Toronto restaurants. The world looks a little different now...

In 2020, Heather founded Sips Toronto, a boutique wine business, specializing in events, and education including hospitality and cellar management consulting services. Heather McDougall is a certified sommelier (International Sommelier Guild & WSET) who has spent over a  decade honing her skills in both retail and restaurant settings across Canada.

In the 2021 Allison began At The Lake, a gourmet retail and events company located in Muskoka.  Allison's experience ranges from British Columbia vineyards to downtown Toronto restaurants.  Formal education from Niagara College's Winemaking & Viticulture Diploma, Food & Beverage Diploma from George Brown College and WSET Diploma.
